No experience is necessary for taking one of our guided walking trail rides. Each ride leaves the Horse Center to follow the beauty and nature of Rock Creek Park through wooded trails, returning back to the stables for dismount and a delightful memory to take home. Rides must be reserved online with a credit card (check booking calendar below for availability). Please plan to book your ride several weeks in advance, as they do fill quickly.
All Trails are:
– Approximately one hour long
– $62 per person
– Lead by an experienced Trail Guide
– Lead at the pace of walking only
– Limited to four patrons per ride
All Riders must:
– Sign a Visitor’s Acknowledgement of Risk (Riders under 18 years old must have release signed by a parent or legal guardian)
– Be at least 12 years of age
– Wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, and a provided helmet
– Have a reservation
Please note that we do not offer unsupervised horse rentals. All of our trail rides are guided.
CHECK-IN TIME FOR ALL RIDES IS 30 MINUTES BEFORE RIDE DEPARTURE. Weight restrictions may apply. Management reserves the right to cancel any planned trail ride when weather or any other conditions make riding inadvisable.
Cancellation policy: If your scheduled ride is not cancelled by 11 am the day before your ride, your credit card will be charged full price. Rides cancelled prior to 11 am the day before your ride will be refunded, less the the $5 nonrefundable fee per each registration participant. Saturdays and Sundays: 9:30 am, 11:00 am, and 12:30 pm (Mar/Apr – Oct/Nov)
Tuesday – Thursday: 6:00 pm (June – August)
